Do you smell something????

I don't think Grandma is very happy with me. I'm not sure why. She's been pretty grumpy, locked me in the bathroom and gave me a cold water hose bath.
It all started after I went out for a little outside time. I found my sunny spot (the sun finally came out today) and was minding my own business when this wonderful odor wafted into my nostrils. It lured me over and the last thing I remember was this wonderful ecstacy of rolling and rubbing. Then Grandma called me inside.
I don't think Grandma is very happy with me.
I feel like such a criminal...
....taking mug shots.

When I got to the deck, Grandma started yelling at me and grabbed me up, taking me straight to the bathroom.
"CHLOOOEEE!!!!!"

She locked me in with Raleigh for a looong time.
When she finally released us, she grabbed me up, put me on the leash and took me outside, where she proceeded to shoot cold water at me and rub me down with some foamy stuff. She turned me on my head, rolled me around and continued to pour the freezing cold water all over me. How Rude!
I will admit the towel rubbing felt pretty good and things are going pretty good right now. I really don't know what that was all about, but Grandma is pretty scary sometimes.

Day Twoooo ow oooo

I got this. My duty everyday is to guard the house from a perfect perch. Yes, I get this. I will not abandon my sentinel duties. I will be forever vigilant. Unless, you say "greenie", but then I'll be back, promise. Sometimes, there are more important things....However, you will know if anything moves out there...yes, ANYHTHING! That's my job and I don't take it lightly.

Shut up Raleigh....I got this!
Heh, heh....I had the last word....

The beginning

HI, my name is Chloe and I'm speaking out.

You can join me in my daily adventures.

Stranded at Grandma and Grandpa's
I have been left behind. Yes, my mom and dad sent me away to the old folk's home. They gave me the, "mommy loves you, we'll miss you and we'll come get you in a few short months" speech. I guess we'll have to see about that. For now, I'm stuck in this house with my cousin Raleigh. As long as she keeps to herself, I guess things will be okay. Sometimes she can be a little obnoxious and hog all the treats.
As you may have guessed, life isn't the same at the grandparents place. First, I have to stake out my own space and that's not easy. The day bed is too empty without mommy, so I gotta wait for grandma to go to bed. She has to lift me up into her "land of the giants" bunk. Then, I have to wait for Raleigh to figure out where she's going, so I can get as far away from her as possible. Listen, a dog can only take so much. But she usually stays on top of the covers, so I guess it's alright.
Then, no more free water in the tub. What does a dog have to do? Do they honestly think I don't know what a dog bowl is? Putting a bowl of water on the shower drain is not the same, people! Okay, I give up, I'll drink from my bowl and this thing Raleigh gets water from if I HAVE to... But I'm not drinking from that orange bowl at the studio. No way! A dog has her limits.
The last straw came today. Grandma won't let me get under the seat in the car. I have to sit on the floor and try to squeeze my head under. That's all I get, and then to add insult to injury, my collar gets hung up! She and I are gonna come to heads on this one, really.
Okay, so life sorta sucks, but there's some good stuff too, I guess. At least they remembered my treats. I gotta have my treats. Grandma's pretty good about getting me those, but Grandpa makes some good stuff that he shares too. He makes a pretty tasty thing called roasted peanut. Also, they let me eat on the "terrace". The weather has been pretty nice, so that's my favorite part. I wish they wouldn't freak out everytime I wander down to the side yard though. Gee, people, give me some space!
Grandma took me to this place she calls, "wanna go to da studio." But first we hung outside at Starbucks while she drank coffee and we watched people. This studio place is pretty cool. There's a real nice lady who gave me treats and let me cruise around her space. Also, there's some other people in their own spaces who keep trying to pet me. I liked going down to this really weird room at the bottom of some steps. It's like a crazy maze and people go by glass doors, so I can bark. Mostly, we hung out in Grandma's space. She's got some cool chairs and treats. We spent the whole day there, so I didn't get to nap like usual, but I liked it.
It's only been a few days, but it seems like forever. I've tried sitting on the porch and calling for you, but so far no answer. I wonder what mommy is doing. Daddy is probably being silly. I hope he doesn't find someone else to play with. I think they'll come get me soon, maybe? I don't know. I'm just gonna hang out with the old folks and hope the treats keep coming.

It is nice to have terrace seating for dinner.

Join me next time for my next big adventure...
